ABOUT

The Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps (RVAC) is a New York State Department of Health-Bureau of Emergency Medical Services certified, Basic Life Support (BLS) volunteer ambulance service. RVAC has been in operation since September of 1975 and currently serves the communities of Ridgewood, Wyckoff Heights, Bushwick, Middle Village, Maspeth, Glendale, Sunnyside, Woodside, Long Island City, Woodhaven, and Richmond Hill. In addition to providing community based emergency and non-emergency ambulance services, RVAC also provides stand-by and emergency medical response at local events, street fairs, and sporting events within the community.

Introducing: RVAC Portable Amputation Kits (PAKs)! RVAC PAKs ©️ are designed in consideration of all of your amputation needs. Containing an ice pack, roller-gauze, and two zip-loc bags using patent-pending BagCeption ©️ technology, you can use an RVAC PAK to secure, store, and chill amputations up to the size of a hand per protocol! RVAC PAKs can be found alongside existing trauma and bleeding control supplies. Transport to the nearest reimplementation center (Bellevue) is recommended for both patients and their missing limbs. And remember: always pack the PAK! Credit - from a joyful Albert🚑
