Captain Walter Dziemian has been in volunteer EMS since 1994 and worked as an auxiliary member of the NYPD Emergency Services Unit for 20 years. He has been a member of RVAC for 3 years. Captain Dziemian is the facilities manager at the LeFrak Center at Prospect Park, a 74 million dollar facility.

Lieutenant Klingos has been with Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps for two years and has been an EMT for three years. Lieutenant Klingos was promoted to 1st Lieutenant of Administration in January 2018.

Lieutenant Sharkey has been a member of the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps since September of 2013, months before receiving his EMT certification in early 2014. He is a certified EMS educator through the Department of Health and works as a hazardous materials EMT in Brooklyn.

Lieutenant Vel joined the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps in 2018. His work lead to the creation of the new RVAC website and the donation of numerous devices won in a competition last year. Lt. Vel studies Psychology at the City College of New York.

Kathleen Sexton joined Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps in 2005, she is a life honorary member of RVAC and the former 1st Lieutenant of Operations. Captain Sexton has been a practicing EMT for 18 years. EMT Sexton also holds a B.A. in Psychology and teaches children who require special education.

Jesus D. Rodriguez is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps. As Chairman he is the Chief Operating Officer of the organization. He is tasked with the responsibility of making sure the organization succeeds as a whole and that the wishes of the board are carried out. Chairman Rodriguez has been an EMT for 9 years and has been involved in EMS for 12 years. He has been a member of the organization since 2012 and is additionally an active life time member of RVAC serving in various leadership roles such as Lieutenant and Captain of the organization. Chairman Rodriguez is also a CPR instructor and enjoys training new recruits on the Ambulance.

Board Member Graves has been an EMT for 16 years and been a member with Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps since 2008. Sean Graves additionally sits on the board of the NYC Regional EMS Council (REMSCO) and teaches at Rescue Training Institute (RTI EMS). 

Board Member Gunning has been an EMT since June 2000. She has volunteered with GVAC since 1999 and worked at metro care from 2000-2003.She also previously worked at St. John’s Hospital from 2001-2008. Board Member Gunning met her husband through EMS and has been happily married for 16 years. She has 2 amazing kids, Brooke (14) and Lucas (8).
